Background and early life

Jennifer Walden was born and brought up in Austin, Texas. Her father and was a surgical nurse. She attended Anderson high school and later graduated with honors’ with a bachelor’s of arts in biology from the University of Texas. Later Jennifer received her medical doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1998. While pursuing her doctorate, Jennifer was also in an externship in Miami at the prestigious plastic surgery associates.


Education background

Jennifer Walden undertook her residency training at the University of Texas medical branch. Here, Jennifer obtained training in aesthetic surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. In this fellowship, she gained knowledge, expertise and techniques in the cosmetic face, breast, and body, and aesthetic plastic surgery from internationally known expert leaders. She served as the program director of Manhattan eye, ear, and throat hospital cosmetic surgery fellowship till she went back to Austin, her homeland.


Dr. Jennifer Walden, who is a qualified plastic surgeon specialized in cosmetic surgery is now a board certified plastic surgeon. Jennifer was certified by the American Board of plastic surgery. Currently, Jennifer is listed among the best 24 doctors in the United States. She operates her own business, which is a fully accredited office at Westlake medical care center. Dr. Walden leads a team that is dedicated to ensuring that patients are safe and well taken care of by medical experts.

Jennifer is a member of several other organizations like the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic surgery. Dr. Walden is also in the American society of plastic surgeons, modern aesthetic and plastic surgery practices editorial board of directors and fellowships at American college of surgeons. She is the board of trustees of the American society for aesthetic plastic surgeons. Besides being a cosmetic surgeon, Jennifer is also a dignified qualified spokesperson for the American society for aesthetic plastic surgery, and also the American society of plastic surgeons.

Dr. Jennifer Walden is a Star of Texas

Dr. Jennifer Walden is a one of just a few female aesthetic plastic surgeons in the U.S. She lives and practices in Austin, Texas. At an early age she knew she wanted to become a doctor. Her father was a dentist and her mother was a surgical nurse, so she had plenty if exposure to the medical field growing up. She graduated from Anderson High School in Austin, and then got her B.S Degree from the University of Texas, in biology. She then earned her medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch.

After finishing her residency, she moved to New York City to pursue her interest in plastic surgery. She did a fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. During this period, she became the associate of Dr. Sherrell Aston, a famous plastic surgeon. She worked in New York for eight years. She then became a single mother of twin boys. She felt it was important to be near her family, so she returned to Austin. Her sons, Houston and Rex are currently in pre-school. She says that she tries to keep things as simple as possible by living near where she works. Her sons attend school nearby as well. She has a nanny and an au pair so that in an emergency there is someone home with her boys.

Walden is one of the top aesthetic plastic surgeons in Texas, according to her peers. Of the nearly 8,100 board certified plastic surgeons, only about 850 are women. Dr. Walden is committed to using the latest technology to help her patients. She uses 3-D imaging to allow her patients to get an idea of how they will look after surgery. She has developed some of her own instruments that she uses for surgeries. They are available through Accurate Scientific and Surgical Instruments. She is a consultant to leading aesthetic companies in the region.

Jennifer is heavily involved in philanthropic activities in the community. .In June 2016 she was named runner-up for Austin’s Woman of the Year Award. She is a member of the Guardian Angel Society that provides support to abused children. She has also been involved in medical mission trips over the years.
